Jeff Bachman is an associate professor in the Department of Peace, Human Rights, and Cultural Relations at the School of International Service at 玉米视频 University in Washington, D.C. where he studies the direct and facilitating role the United States plays in the commission of genocide, other atrocities, and political violence. He is the author of two books, The Politics of Genocide: From the Genocide Convention to the Responsibility to Protect (2022) and The United States and Genocide: (Re)Defining the Relationship (2017), and editor or co-editor of three volumes: Genocide Studies: Pathways Ahead (2024), Cultural Genocide: Law, Politics, and Global Manifestations (2019), and A Modern History of Forgotten Genocide and Mass Atrocities (2024), with a fourth, Routledge Handbook of Genocide Studies, expected late 2025.
