- Denise Ruth Woodall, Ph.D. is a sociologist, applied feminist researcher, scholar-activist, and critical-race criminologist. As an instructor, she combines her expertise in sociology, criminology, identity, and activism to empower students and drive positive social change. With a focus on intersectional and critical perspectives, Dr. Woodall's work explores the complex relationships between race, gender, the criminal justice system, global security, and social institutions that contribute to social stratification and inequality.
